Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 ounce dark chocolate, grated (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined and creamy.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled chocolate crust.
- Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
- Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set properly.
- Before serving, sprinkle the grated dark chocolate on top for garnish.

- For a richer flavor, consider adding a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the cream cheese mixture.
- If you prefer a lighter version, use a low-fat cream cheese and sugar substitute.
