Description
Chocolate Lasagna is a delicious no-bake dessert that combines layers of cream cheese, chocolate pudding, and crushed cookies for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed
- 2 cups chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups milk
- 2 packages (3.9 ounces each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and melted butter. Mix until the cookies are evenly coated.
- Press the cookie mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form a crust.
- Pour the milk into another bowl and add the instant chocolate pudding mix. Whisk for about 2 minutes until the pudding thickens.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cookie crust.
- Layer half of the cream cheese mixture over the pudding. Sprinkle ¾ cup of chocolate chips on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pudding, cream cheese mixture, and finish with the remaining chocolate chips.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a layer of crushed nuts between the layers.
- You can also substitute the chocolate sandwich cookies with graham crackers for a different taste.
