Description
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that combines the rich flavors of chocolate and peanut butter, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- In another bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup of peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.
- Spoon the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate layer and gently spread it out.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts and mini chocolate chips on top for added texture and flavor.
- Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the bark to set completely.
- Once set, lift the bark out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang and cut it into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
- Add a pinch of sea salt on top before chilling for a sweet and salty combination.
- For a crunchier texture, consider mixing in crushed pretzels or rice cereal into the peanut butter layer.
