Description

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that combines the rich flavors of chocolate and peanut butter, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  4. In another bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup of peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.
  5. Spoon the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate layer and gently spread it out.
  6. If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts and mini chocolate chips on top for added texture and flavor.
  7. Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the bark to set completely.
  8. Once set, lift the bark out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang and cut it into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt on top before chilling for a sweet and salty combination.
  • For a crunchier texture, consider mixing in crushed pretzels or rice cereal into the peanut butter layer.
