Description

A rich and indulgent chocolate cake with a creamy peanut butter swirl, topped with a luscious chocolate ganache.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, cocoa powder, melted butter, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  4. In another bowl, mix the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and remaining egg until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the cake.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  7. While the cake is cooling, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the remaining chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 2-3 minutes, then stir until smooth to create a ganache.
  8. Drizzle the ganache over the cooled cake before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding chopped peanuts on top of the ganache.
  • You can substitute almond butter for peanut butter for a different nutty taste.
