A delicious and easy-to-make Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie that combines creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until well combined.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with the milk, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the pie.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Before serving, garnish with additional whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
- You can also substitute almond butter for the peanut butter for a different taste.
