Description

Chocolate Turtle Cobbler is a decadent dessert that combines rich chocolate, gooey caramel, and crunchy pecans, creating a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth and well mixed.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped pecans evenly over the batter.
  6. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips and pecans.
  7. Carefully pour the boiling water over the entire dish. Do not stir; the water will create a sauce as it bakes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  9. Let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a pinch of espresso powder to the dry ingredients.
  • You can also substitute walnuts for pecans for a different nutty flavor.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
