Description
Chocolate Turtle Cobbler is a decadent dessert that combines rich chocolate, gooey caramel, and crunchy pecans, creating a delightful treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth and well mixed.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped pecans evenly over the batter.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips and pecans.
- Carefully pour the boiling water over the entire dish. Do not stir; the water will create a sauce as it bakes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a pinch of espresso powder to the dry ingredients.
- You can also substitute walnuts for pecans for a different nutty flavor.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
