Description
A delightful layered dessert featuring gingerbread cookies, cream cheese, and vanilla pudding, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed gingerbread cookies
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1 cup vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup red and green M&M’s or holiday sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the crushed gingerbread cookies and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until it thickens, about 2 minutes. Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Top the pudding layer with the remaining whipped topping, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top for added flavor.
- Garnish with red and green M&M’s or holiday sprinkles. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Slice into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy your festive treat!
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, substitute half of the gingerbread cookies with crushed chocolate cookies.
- Add layers of chopped nuts or crushed peppermint candies for extra texture and flavor.
