A festive and delicious Christmas Trifle Dessert that layers pound cake, mixed berries, whipped cream, and vanilla pudding, perfect for impressing guests during the holiday season.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup vanilla pudding (prepared)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large glass trifle bowl or individual serving cups, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add half of the mixed berries on top of the pound cake.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the berries.
- Spoon half of the prepared vanilla pudding over the whipped cream layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, mixed berries, whipped cream, and vanilla pudding.
- Top the trifle with slivered almonds, if using, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
