Description

Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna is a delightful dessert that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls and apple pie in a layered, baked treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) cans of refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • 2 cups of peeled and sliced apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup of chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped pecans (if using). Mix well and set aside.
  3. Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Roll each cinnamon roll into a flat circle and place a layer of the apple mixture in the center. Fold the edges of the cinnamon roll over the filling to create a pocket. Repeat with all cinnamon rolls.
  4. Arrange the filled cinnamon rolls in the prepared baking dish, placing them close together.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and creamy. Drizzle this mixture over the arranged cinnamon rolls.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. If desired, drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of cloves or allspice to the apple mixture.
  • Substitute the apples with pears or a mix of berries for a different fruit flavor.
