Description

Delicious and crispy cinnamon sugar banana chips made in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray or oil for the air fryer

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, toss the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the banana slices and toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a little oil.
  7. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
  8. Air fry the banana slices for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
  9. Once done, remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the cooled banana chips.
  • Experiment with different spices like nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice for a unique flavor.
