Delicious and crispy cinnamon sugar banana chips made in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 large ripe bananas
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Cooking spray or oil for the air fryer
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a bowl, toss the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the banana slices and toss gently to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a little oil.
- Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
- Air fry the banana slices for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
- Once done, remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the cooled banana chips.
- Experiment with different spices like nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice for a unique flavor.
