Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients:
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
Cinnamon Sugar Filling:
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat Your Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in sour cream until creamy.
- Blend Mixtures: Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Filling: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Assemble Muffins: Fill muffin liners halfway with batter. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously, then top with more batter until liners are ¾ full.
- Bake: Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Glaze: Allow muffins to cool slightly. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze, then drizzle over the muffins.
