Description

A delicious Coconut Banana Cream Chocolate Truffle Pie topped with Dulce de Leche, perfect for dessert lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • ½ cup dulce de leche
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut, toasted
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust and spread evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the coconut cream, powdered sugar, and coconut extract. Whip until smooth and creamy.
  5. Once the chocolate layer is set, layer the sliced bananas over the chocolate. Spread the coconut cream mixture over the bananas. Drizzle the dulce de leche on top and sprinkle with toasted shredded coconut.
  6. Chill the pie for at least 2 hours before serving. For an extra touch, top with whipped cream just before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
  • You can substitute the bananas with sliced strawberries or raspberries for a different fruit flavor.
