Description

Cornflake Crunch Treats are a delightful and easy-to-make sweet snack that combines crunchy cornflakes with a gooey mixture of peanut butter, marshmallows, and sugar.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cornflakes
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, granulated sugar, and peanut butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is melted and smooth.
  2. Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Add the mini marshmallows to the mixture and stir until they are fully melted and combined.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, pour the cornflakes and gently fold in the melted mixture until all the cornflakes are evenly coated.
  5. If using, fold in the chocolate chips until well distributed.
  6. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Pour the cornflake mixture into the dish and press it down evenly with a spatula or your hands.
  7. Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until set. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • For a chocolatey twist, drizzle melted chocolate over the top before cutting into squares.
