Description
Cowboy Butter Steak Sliders are a delicious and flavorful dish featuring grilled flank steak topped with a rich cowboy butter spread, served on toasted slider buns with fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slider buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the Cowboy Butter until well combined. Set aside.
- Rub the flank steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt and pepper.
- Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- While the steak is resting, toast the slider buns on the grill until golden brown.
- Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
- Spread a generous amount of Cowboy Butter on the bottom half of each toasted slider bun.
- Layer the sliced steak on top of the butter, followed by shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles.
- Top with the other half of the slider bun and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños to the sliders.
- You can also substitute the flank steak with grilled chicken or portobello mushrooms for a different flavor profile.
