Description

Crack Burgers are a delicious and easy-to-make burger recipe that combines ground beef with flavorful seasonings and cheese, perfect for any barbecue or family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for toppings

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ranch seasoning mix, onion soup mix, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the meat.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. This will be your special sauce.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by spreading the special sauce on the bottom bun, adding the patty with melted cheese, and topping with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Place the top bun on and serve.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the meat mixture or top the burgers with spicy pickles.
  • Swap out the cheddar cheese for pepper jack or blue cheese for a different flavor profile.
