A delicious and festive Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball that is perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, blue cheese, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Form the cheese mixture into a ball shape using your hands. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
- Once chilled, remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap it.
- In a shallow dish, combine the chopped pecans and dried cranberries. Roll the cheese ball in the pecan and cranberry mixture until fully coated.
- Place the cheese ball on a serving platter. If desired, garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with crackers, sliced apples, or celery sticks.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or some chopped jalapeños to the cheese mixture.
- Substitute walnuts or almonds for the pecans for a different flavor profile.
