Description
Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Bacon & Creamy Mustard Sauce make a delectable dish!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 6 ounces bacon, chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Scatter the chopped bacon over the top.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are crispy and the bacon is cooked.
- While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the creamy mustard sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Stir until well mixed and heated through, about 3-5 minutes. Do not let it boil.
- Once the Brussels sprouts and bacon are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the creamy mustard sauce over the top. Toss to combine.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crunch, broil the Brussels sprouts for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
- Try adding chopped walnuts or pecans for added texture and flavor.
