Description
A delicious recipe for crispy fried meatballs made with a blend of ground beef and pork, seasoned to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, oregano, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
- Carefully add the meatballs to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer the meatballs to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or over pasta.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
- Try using ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version of these meatballs.
