Ingredients
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem. Slice the cauliflower head into 1-inch thick steaks.
- In a shallow bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten.
- Dip each cauliflower steak into the egg mixture, then coat it in the almond flour mixture.
- Place the coated cauliflower steaks on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle olive oil over the top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the steaks.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and the cheese is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the almond flour mixture.
