Ingredients
For the Chicken:
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
2 large eggs
-
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Hot Honey Glaze:
-
½ cup honey
-
1 to 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
-
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
To Serve:
-
½ cup crumbled feta cheese
-
Fresh chopped parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or place a wire rack on top for extra crispiness. -
Prepare Breading Stations:
Set up three shallow bowls. In the first, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In the second, whisk the eggs. In the third, add panko breadcrumbs. -
Bread the Chicken:
Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, then dip into the eggs, and finally press into the panko breadcrumbs until well coated. Place onto the prepared baking sheet. -
Bake the Chicken:
Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through. The chicken is done when golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). -
Make the Hot Honey Glaze:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and warm until fully combined. Taste and adjust spice level to your liking. -
Assemble and Serve:
Once the chicken is cooked, drizzle with the warm hot honey glaze and sprinkle immediately with crumbled feta so it melts slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
-
For extra crispiness, bake the chicken on a wire rack instead of directly on the sheet pan.
-
If you’re heat-sensitive, start with 1 tablespoon of hot sauce and adjust from there.
-
Feta can be swapped with goat cheese or blue cheese for a different twist.
-
Great paired with rice, roasted vegetables, or inside a sandwich or wrap.
-
Leftovers reheat well in the oven or air fryer for a crispy finish.
