Description

A rich and indulgent pound cake that combines the flavors of pecans, caramel, and cinnamon rolls, topped with cream cheese for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until creamy and smooth. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the caramel sauce. Use a knife to swirl the caramel into the batter gently.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature, drizzling additional caramel sauce on top if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half of the cream cheese.
  • For added flavor, mix in some chocolate chips or dried fruit into the batter.
