  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and cook for about 2 minutes until it begins to soften.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and sliced mushrooms to the skillet, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Add the sliced red bell pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil, stirring to coat the vegetables evenly.
  7. Add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and stir well until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
  9. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
