Description
A delightful and easy-to-make apple crumble cheesecake that combines creamy cheesecake with a crunchy crumble topping.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
- In a separate bowl, toss the diced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- In another bowl, combine brown sugar, rolled oats, and flour. Sprinkle this crumble mixture over the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set and the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a tablespoon of lemon juice to the apple mixture.
- You can substitute the apples with pears or berries for a different twist.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
