- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper (any color), sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil. Sear the sliced flank steak for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Transfer the steak to the crockpot.

- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the steak is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Stir this into the crockpot to thicken the sauce.
- Serve the pepper steak over cooked rice or noodles.
