Description

A quick and delicious stir-fry featuring baby bok choy and mushrooms, perfect for a healthy meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (shiitake or button)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  4. Add the halved baby bok choy to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the greens are wilted and tender.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), and drizzle with sesame oil. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.
