Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onion and sauté for about 2 minutes until it starts to soften.
- Stir in the minced garlic and julienned carrot, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the carrot is tender.
- Add the shredded cabbage and sliced red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is wilted but still crisp.
- Pour in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
