Description
Four Cheese Mushroom Toasts are a delicious appetizer featuring a blend of four cheeses and sautéed mushrooms on toasted baguette slices.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 ounces of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 ounces of crumbled blue cheese
- 1 French baguette, sliced into 1-inch thick pieces
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and golden brown.
- Stir in the garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and blue cheese. Mix until well combined.
- Add the sautéed mushrooms to the cheese mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Spoon the mushroom and cheese mixture generously onto each slice.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mushroom mixture.
- Substitute the mushrooms with spinach or artichokes for a different flavor profile.
