Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 medium head of cauliflower, chopped into small florets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Season with onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- While the turkey is cooking, steam the cauliflower florets in a separate pot for about 5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- Once the turkey is cooked, add the steamed cauliflower to the skillet. Pour in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and lemon juice. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes when cooking the turkey.
- You can substitute ground turkey with ground chicken or lean beef for a different flavor profile.
