Ingredients
- 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the garlic butter mixture.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika to the butter mixture before tossing with the Brussels sprouts.
- To make this dish vegan, substitute the butter with olive oil and omit the Parmesan cheese or use a vegan cheese alternative.
