Description

A delicious Garlic Butter Steak & Shrimp Pasta recipe that combines tender steak and shrimp with fettuccine pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound flank steak, sliced thin against the grain
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in the cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes until they soften.
  6. Slice the rested steak into thin strips and return it to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and fresh parsley. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute zucchini noodles for the fettuccine.
  • Add spinach or arugula to the skillet in the last minute of cooking for added greens and flavor.
