Description

Indulge in the rich and creamy flavors of German Chocolate Heaven Cheesecake, a delightful dessert that combines chocolate, coconut, and pecans for a heavenly experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Allow to cool slightly, then mix into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  6. Stir in the shredded coconut and chopped pecans, reserving a small amount for topping if desired.
  7. Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool gradually.
  9. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serving, drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the top and sprinkle with reserved coconut and pecans if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a tablespoon of coffee or espresso powder to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Substitute the pecans with walnuts or almonds for a different nutty flavor.
