Description

A quick and flavorful recipe for Ginger Garlic Bok Choy, perfect as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 pound baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the bok choy to the skillet, cut side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly wilted.
  4. Flip the bok choy and pour in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
  5. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the bok choy is tender but still vibrant green.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic and ginger.
  • You can substitute bok choy with other greens like kale or Swiss chard for a different flavor profile.
