Description
A delicious and easy recipe for golden crusted cheesy cauliflower steaks, perfect for a healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and slice it into 1-inch thick steaks. You should get about 4-6 steaks depending on the size of the cauliflower.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with the olive oil mixture and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast the cauliflower steaks in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the cheddar and Parmesan cheese evenly over the cauliflower steaks.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the cauliflower is tender and golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the olive oil mixture.
- You can substitute the cheeses with your favorites, such as mozzarella or pepper jack, for a different flavor profile.
- For a vegan option, use nutritional yeast instead of cheese and a plant-based oil.
