Description
A rich and gooey chocolate cake infused with creamy peanut butter, perfect for dessert lovers.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
- In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, peanut butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake, as you want the cake to remain gooey.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a pinch of espresso powder to the batter.
- You can top the cake with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
- If you prefer a nut-free version, substitute the peanut butter with sunflower seed butter.
