Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Take a handful of green beans (about 8-10) and wrap them with one slice of bacon. Secure the bundle with a toothpick if necessary. Repeat with the remaining green beans and bacon.
  4. Place the bacon-wrapped bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, and balsamic vinegar. Drizzle this mixture over the green bean bundles.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the green beans are tender. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
