Ingredients
- 8 ounces of rice noodles
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Add the cooked rice noodles to the skillet and toss to combine all ingredients evenly. Cook for another minute to heat the noodles.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute the flank steak with tofu or tempeh.
