Description

A quick and flavorful recipe for Hoisin Beef Noodles, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Add the cooked rice noodles to the skillet and toss to combine all ingredients evenly. Cook for another minute to heat the noodles.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute the flank steak with tofu or tempeh.
  • Add additional vegetables like broccoli or carrots for extra nutrition and color.
