Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Honey Balsamic Beef Stir Fry that combines tender beef with fresh vegetables in a sweet and tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour the balsamic mixture over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the stir fry.
- Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños to the stir fry.
- Substitute the flank steak with chicken breast or tofu for a different protein option.
