Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Honey Balsamic Beef Stir Fry that combines tender beef with fresh vegetables in a sweet and tangy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the balsamic mixture over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the stir fry.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños to the stir fry.
  • Substitute the flank steak with chicken breast or tofu for a different protein option.
