Description

Quick, flavorful, and irresistibly glazed—this Honey Garlic Chicken combines tender baked chicken, vibrant veggies, and a sweet-savory sauce, making it perfect for weeknight dinners that impress.

Ingredients

  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cubed

  • Garlic powder

  • Black pepper

  • Korean chile flakes (or regular chili flakes)

  • Flour or gluten-free flour

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Broccoli florets or chopped asparagus

  • Salt (for seasoning vegetables)

  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • Tamari or soy sauce

  • Fresh lemon juice

  • Honey

  • Fresh garlic, minced

  • Chili paste (gochujang recommended)

  • Chopped green onions

  • Toasted sesame oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line or lightly oil a baking sheet.

  2. Prepare Chicken: On the baking sheet, toss chicken cubes with garlic powder, pepper, chile flakes, and flour. Drizzle with olive oil and mix to coat evenly. Push chicken to one side.

  3. Veggies: Arrange broccoli or asparagus on the opposite side. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper. Bake 10–15 minutes, until chicken cooks through.

  4. Make Sauce: Whisk together tamari/soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, chili paste, green onions, and sesame oil (if using).

  5. Glaze Chicken: Remove veggies. Toss chicken thoroughly in sauce. Return to oven, baking an additional 5 minutes until glazed and sticky.

  6. Serve: Serve chicken alongside veggies over rice if desired, garnished with sesame seeds and additional green onions.

Notes

    • Adjust chili paste according to spice preference.

    • Sauce can be prepared ahead and refrigerated.
