Description
A delicious side dish featuring Brussels sprouts roasted to perfection with crispy bacon and a sweet honey glaze.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 4 ounces bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, chopped bacon, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and honey. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized, and the bacon is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Toss gently to combine.
- Serve warm as a side dish.
Notes
- For added crunch, sprinkle with chopped pecans or walnuts before serving.
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mixture before roasting.
