Description

Indulge in this decadent Hot Fudge Cheesecake, featuring a creamy filling atop a buttery graham cracker crust, all drizzled with rich hot fudge.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just incorporated. Finally, mix in the sour cream until smooth.
  5. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and spread it evenly. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  6. Turn off the oven and crack the door, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  7. For the hot fudge topping, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  8. To serve, slice the cheesecake and drizzle with warm hot fudge topping.

Notes

  • For a flavored cheesecake, add 1 teaspoon of your favorite extract (like almond or peppermint) to the filling.
  • Top the cheesecake with chopped nuts or fresh berries for added texture and flavor.
