Description

A deliciously rich Hot Fudge Sundae Brownie Cheesecake that combines layers of brownie, cream cheese, and hot fudge for a decadent dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brownie mix (plus ingredients as directed on package)
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Maraschino cherries for topping
  • Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, ½ cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Pour half of the brownie batter over the crust in the springform pan.
  5. Carefully pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer. Then, pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the cream cheese layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 30 minutes. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully chilled.
  8. Once chilled, drizzle hot fudge sauce over the top, add whipped cream, and garnish with maraschino cherries and chopped nuts if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • You can also substitute the hot fudge sauce with caramel sauce for a different twist.
