Description
A deliciously rich Hot Fudge Sundae Brownie Cheesecake that combines layers of brownie, cream cheese, and hot fudge for a decadent dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup brownie mix (plus ingredients as directed on package)
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Maraschino cherries for topping
- Chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, ½ cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Pour half of the brownie batter over the crust in the springform pan.
- Carefully pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer. Then, pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 30 minutes. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully chilled.
- Once chilled, drizzle hot fudge sauce over the top, add whipped cream, and garnish with maraschino cherries and chopped nuts if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- You can also substitute the hot fudge sauce with caramel sauce for a different twist.
