Description

A rich and indulgent dessert combining layers of brownie, cheesecake, and hot fudge, topped with whipped cream and cherries.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce, divided
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the brownie mix, melted butter, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 egg. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled brownie layer in the springform pan. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set around the edges but slightly jiggly in the center. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.
  6. Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  7. Before serving, warm the hot fudge sauce in the microwave until pourable. Drizzle half of the hot fudge over the cheesecake.
  8. Top with whipped cream, chopped nuts (if using), and maraschino cherries. Drizzle with the remaining hot fudge sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • Substitute the hot fudge sauce with caramel sauce for a different twist on the sundae experience.
