Description
A rich and indulgent dessert combining layers of brownie, cheesecake, and hot fudge, topped with whipped cream and cherries.
Ingredients
- 2 cups brownie mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce, divided
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Maraschino cherries for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, combine the brownie mix, melted butter, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 egg. Mix until well combined and creamy.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled brownie layer in the springform pan. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set around the edges but slightly jiggly in the center. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.
- Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
- Before serving, warm the hot fudge sauce in the microwave until pourable. Drizzle half of the hot fudge over the cheesecake.
- Top with whipped cream, chopped nuts (if using), and maraschino cherries. Drizzle with the remaining hot fudge sauce before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- Substitute the hot fudge sauce with caramel sauce for a different twist on the sundae experience.
