Description

A delicious and indulgent dessert combining the flavors of hot fudge, brownies, and cheesecake.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brownie mix (prepared according to package instructions)
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Maraschino cherries for topping
  • Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, ½ cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with ½ cup sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust in the springform pan.
  5. Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions. Pour the brownie batter over the cream cheese layer in the springform pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  8. Before serving, heat the hot fudge sauce in the microwave until warm.
  9. Slice the cheesecake and serve each piece topped with warm hot fudge sauce, a dollop of whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie mix.
  • You can substitute the hot fudge sauce with caramel sauce for a different twist on the sundae topping.
