Description
A delicious and indulgent dessert combining the flavors of hot fudge, brownies, and cheesecake.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup brownie mix (prepared according to package instructions)
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Maraschino cherries for topping
- Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, ½ cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with ½ cup sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust in the springform pan.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions. Pour the brownie batter over the cream cheese layer in the springform pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Before serving, heat the hot fudge sauce in the microwave until warm.
- Slice the cheesecake and serve each piece topped with warm hot fudge sauce, a dollop of whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie mix.
- You can substitute the hot fudge sauce with caramel sauce for a different twist on the sundae topping.
