Description
A decadent dessert recipe featuring a fudgy cake made with Oreo cookies, perfect for chocolate lovers.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Carefully pour the boiling water over the batter; do not stir.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before serving. The cake will be fudgy and gooey in the center.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
- If you want a minty twist, use mint-flavored Oreo cookies instead of regular ones.
