Description
A delicious and easy-to-make beef stir-fry with noodles and a sticky sauce that is sure to please everyone.
Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the sliced bell peppers and broccoli, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the vegetables and stir-fry for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Return the beef to the skillet and add the cooked noodles, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For a healthier option, substitute the egg noodles with zucchini noodles or whole wheat noodles.
- Add your favorite vegetables like snap peas or carrots for extra color and nutrition.
