Description
A delicious and creamy Boston Cream Pie Cheesecake that combines the flavors of classic Boston cream pie with a rich cheesecake.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and milk. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Allow the chocolate to cool slightly before drizzling it over the chilled cheesecake.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cheesecake before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a tablespoon of instant coffee granules to the chocolate mixture.
- You can also substitute the graham cracker crust with an Oreo cookie crust for a chocolatey twist.
