Description
A delightful dessert that combines the flavors of pecan pie with the layered texture of lasagna, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for the pecan layer)
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined and press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled graham cracker crust.
- In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth. Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake the lasagna in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the pecan layer is set and slightly bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, add 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips to the cream cheese layer.
- Substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer a different nut flavor.
