Description
Delicious and easy-to-make Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket, perfect for parties or snacks.
Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 package (12 oz) cocktail sausages (mini hot dogs)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place a small spoonful of the cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle, then add a cocktail sausage on top. Roll the dough around the sausage and cheese mixture, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the point.
- Place the rolled pigs in a blanket on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the cheese mixture.
- You can substitute the cocktail sausages with turkey or plant-based sausages for a healthier option.
