Description

This oven-baked salmon is juicy, tender, and topped with a fresh, zesty lemon dill sauce that’s creamy and bright. It’s a simple yet elegant meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes—perfect for busy nights or healthy dinner goals.

Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • Four 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for garnish)

For the Lemon Dill Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tablespoons chopped dill (fresh or freeze-dried)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
Set oven to 400°F (204°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

  2. Prepare the salmon:
Place the salmon fillets on the lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Bake the salmon:
Bake for 12–16 minutes, depending on thickness. Salmon is done when it reaches 135°F internally. Let it rest for a few minutes until it rises to 145°F.

  4. Make the lemon dill sauce:
In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  5. Assemble and serve:
Spoon the sauce over the baked salmon fillets. Garnish with lemon wedges if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the salmon in lemon juice and olive oil for 15 minutes before baking.
  • Use wild-caught salmon for richer flavor and better texture.
  • Pairs well with rice, roasted veggies, or a crisp green salad.

  • Leftover sauce can double as a dip for roasted potatoes or raw veggies.
