Description
A creamy and delicious Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with pasta for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, beef broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, pickles, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Stir until everything is well combined and the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon and sliced green onions.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey for the beef and use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Add a tablespoon of mustard to the sauce for an extra tangy flavor, or mix in some sautéed mushrooms for added texture.
